Name: Seifer Almasy

Personality: Seifer is a very straightforward person, if he thinks something needs saying or doing then by Hyne he will say and do just that and damn the consequences. He is stubborn and unapologetic, if you don't like him he's not going to bend over backwards to change your opinion of him. There are often issues between authority figures and him, he thinks his way is the best way to do something and is often too impatient and reckless to wait for someone else to take charge of a situation. He's quick to make judgements about people and situations, and it is difficult at times to shake a first impression and nearly impossible to shuck a nickname once given.
Beneath the abrasive and often unpredictable side of Seifer is a very loyal and rather caring young man. He holds a high respect for his fellow mercenaries and soldiers, regardless of their background or gender. He firmly believes that to hold back in a fight is one of the greatest insults to give somebody whether it be physical or philosophical in nature . He will do anything in his power to help people, even at the risk of his own life. He has a very harsh sort of 'tough love' that comes off more like bullying than actually helping; just because he's trying to knock someone on their ass doesn't mean he won't bring them to the infirmary while they're unconscious or offer advice and someone to complain to when it's needed.
Seifer refers to romantics in a traditional sense of the word, as opposed to the conventional courtly idea of romance, which is an ideal of revolting and shucking of social norms to achieve a goal.
The dream of becoming a Sorceress Knight has little to do with the conventional romance of it, Seifer has little love for Ultimecia. The connection between the two being not in a 'dating' or 'lovers' relationship but based in the fact that Riona is Ultimecia's rival. With Seifer as Squall's rival, the destiny of Squall to be Riona's Knight in turn gave Seifer the destiny to become Ultimecia's. The 'romantic' dream is more of a dream to revive and renew old traditions. Such as the old-fashioned and difficult to master gunblade or the adoption of a personal symbol.
Traditional Romanticism also put an emphasis on following one's intuition and feelings as well as the use of imagination. It is, at it's core a rebellion against purely logical thinking and tactics.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Seifer is a very good fighter and tactician, he would have made SeeD a long time ago if it wasn't for his impatient personality and inability to follow orders. He's honest and despite being an ass most of the time is a very genuine friend; he'll hold a world leader hostage if it's what will help someone he considers a comrade or friend.
This being said, Seifer rarely thinks of his own safety or the consequences for his actions. If he does, he disregards it anyway. He is easily manipulated in to believing that his dreams and desires are achievable by whatever means someone suggests, and his stubbornness will keep him on track until he himself realizes he's only being manipulated and headed towards self destruction.
